The Dumb Supper was a performance piece based on the tradition of commemorating the dead through the act of eating in silence. The origins of the Dumb Supper itself are well debated. Regardless of the true origins, it is an act practiced by many people.

The purpose of this performance was to explore liminal space and its effect on participants through a shared meal and ritual atmosphere.
